Despite going down 2-0 early on, the team found their rhythm, thanks in large part to Poppy, who stepped up from the Gold team due to unavailability. Her crucial turnovers in the first quarter helped swing the momentum, allowing Diamonds to edge ahead with a 5-4 lead at the break.

As the match progressed, the entire team began to gel. Megan and Annabel were dominant in defense. Bella was her usual tireless self, running her opposing center into the ground with relentless energy and availability on the court. Izzy P had a challenging start with her shooting but redeemed herself spectacularly, scoring a flawless 6/6 in the final quarter.

Scarlett had a standout performance, delivering her best game in a Diamonds dress to date. Her key interceptions and perfectly weighted passes earned her the coveted Coach’s Player award. Esme and Izzy J also played pivotal roles, delivering well-timed and precise feeds into the D, which highlighted the team's growing synergy.

The girls played some lovely flowing netball throughout the match it was a pleasure to watch. Annabel’s exceptional defensive work earned her the Girl of the Game honor, while the Players' Player award was shared between Bella and Annabel—a true reflection of their impact on the court.

Unfortunately, the game ended on a bittersweet note as Izzy J sustained an injury in the final quarter. The entire team is awaiting an update from Kellie and wishes Izzy J a speedy recovery, hoping the injury is not too serious.
