Diamonds u10's "little gems"

The Little Gems Under 10 team showcased their brilliance with a hard-earned 15-11 victory against Woodley. Overcoming the unique challenge of seeing teammate Imogen on the opposing side, the players stayed sharp and determined, guided by Dotty’s wise reminder to focus on team colors. Abi was outstanding in defense, earning the Coach’s Player award for her remarkable interceptions and ability to shut down the opposition’s attack. A stellar team effort and a great start to the season for these young stars!

The u11's team had an impressive 27-24 victory against Woodley's Division 1 Berkshire League team. After a season of challenging matches in the Charters League, their hard work against Year 7 teams paid off. Iris swept the awards as Girl of the Game, Player's Player, and Coach's Player for her standout performance. Flo B impressed with her shooting, Poppy's movement and connection were seamless, Flo S made key intercepts, and Eleanor dominated the center pass. Lily’s availability and Holly’s rebounds added to the team’s strength. A special mention to Mabel for a stellar debut and Lizzy for stepping in at WA and supporting her teammates. Well done, team!

The U12s faced a towering and talented Division 1 team and put up a strong fight, finishing with a respectable 34-14 scoreline. Despite the challenge, the girls showed immense grit and adaptability with multiple changes throughout the game. Players' Player went to Pia for her consistent effort, while Bella earned Coach's Player for her standout performance, showing resilience and determination against a tough opponent. Annabel and Izzy P earned GOG honors, and Esme and Scarlett gave it their all. Tilly was her usual dependable self, smiling through the storm, while Jess improved steadily in her debut match. Olivia delivered calm, precise passing into the D, Megan made key disruptions with intercepts and rebounds, and Bonnie impressed with her shooting and aggressive defense. A special mention to Izzy P for her shooting—praised by the opposing coach—reflecting her hard work in practice. Well done, team!
